“A bargain is something you can’t use at a price you can’t resist.”
Franklin P. Jones

The struggle…
I love shoes, but sometimes they are costly. Especially since I’m a college student, I don’t make enough money to buy shoes that cost $100 and above every week. So I usually shop for shoes that are below the retail price.
Usually, I find deals on shoes near my local outlet mall. The Shoppes at Woodstock has a great selection of stores.
- Nike
- Puma
- Adidas
- New Balance
- Vans
- Converse
What I find
I go to Nike and Adidas religiously. Upon my visit, I have found outstanding deals. One time, I found a pair of Air Max 1 ‘Puerto Rico.’ I asked my girlfriend if I should purchase them, but she said no. Another time, I found a pair of Jordan 3 “AWOK,” and I was shocked because this shoe was hyped up by many people. Yet, it is at a discount store to be sold.
Across the country, many people have been able to buy expensive shoes under retail prices. For example, the Air Max 97/1 ‘Sean Wotherspoon’ goes for $900 and above on aftermarkets, but a Nike Outlet in Oregon sold the shoe for around $60. Whoever was near that location was a happy customer or reseller.
Deals Online
eBay. I find great shoes from the past. I use eBay to buy my running shoes and older Jordan 1s. The auction system on the site can make it easy to buy shoes at a price I desire.
Stockx. I use this site to buy brand new shoes. They verify and check to see if the shoe is real. On the site, they have a “below retail” section where a customer buys shoes under the retail price.
SwisherKicks. I use his site since I was in high school. He has shoes at great prices and a very nice selection.
You should definitely check out your local outlet mall, discount stores, or websites. You may never know what unique or exclusive sneakers you may find.
