During NBA All-Star weekend, Virgil Abloh will be releasing a shoe collaboration with the top dog business, Nike. The fashion designer and the sports brand collaborated on previous collections since Summer 2017. The two entities created deep desires for consumers to want shoes.
Abloh designs his shoes in a unique process. Usually, He deconstructs the original model of a Nike Shoes and builds it back up. He adds his signature zip-tie.
This time has done, he has deconstructed the Air Jordan 5 “Metallic.” Abloh says he connects with the shoe on a deep level and wanted to pay homage to Micheal Jordan. Also, he designed clothing to accompany the shoes.
